News stations all over the world are overflowing with news about the Malaysia Airlines flight that mysteriously disappeared into thin air on March 8th. Two hundred thirty-nine people, including two Americans, were on board the plane at the time of its disappearance. It seems every possible theory is being taken into consideration.

Theories about the flight range from hijacking, conspiracies, pilot suicide, and just a simple crash. Originally it was thought that two men had hijacked the plane, boarding with stolen passports. That theory, however, has been seen as less likely.

Freshman Kennedy Pfeil is one of a majority of people who believes the plane crashed in the Indian Ocean.

The original small search area in the South China Sea has been expanded and has even spread to the Indian Ocean. This change was made after evidence showed that the plane had been burning fuel faster than previously thought.

“I don’t get why they’re using all that special equipment to search for it,” says Pfeil. “I think they should start using submarines.”

Search teams and the general public are baffled by the disappearance. News stories about large debris in the search areas have overtaken headlines. Despite many claims of possible wreckage, no evidence of a crash site has been recovered.
