Obesity is a state in which a person has a high and unhealthy amount of body fat. An estimated 1 out of every 3 cancer deaths in the United States are linked to be having excess fat. Body weight seems to have become the strongest evidence linking to cancer. Many scientist are exploring many hypotheses on how excess fat increases a person risk for cancer. Obesity is most likely the leading factor replacing tobacco for the highest risk for cancer.
Obesity can affect a cancer patient’s treatment. Such as radiation or chemotherapy. The timing of obesity is important. Which means depending on your age having obesity is important. It may also matter in terms of the risk for certain cancers. Excess body fat affects the immune system function and inflammation. Which has been associated with an increased risk of many of different cancers.
Teens with high levels of inflammation have a 63% increased risk of getting cancer. 14% cancer deaths are in men who are obese, 20% of cancer deaths are in woman who are obese

“If I lose weight will I make my risk of getting cancer lower?” ask Sandra Lambert-Wakens a mom. Losing weight may lessen the risk. It may reduce Breast Cancer. The highest risk of getting cancer is in the of the gender woman. Many Obese Woman have a high risk of getting Breast Cancer. Preventing weight gain can reduce many cancer and health problems.
When someone gains weight. They produce more hormones that help tumors grow! Excess body fat causes the body to produce excessive amounts of hormones. Such as Insulin, and estrogen.
“ The location that this fat tissue starts setting up is just the type of setting that cancer cells do well in.” says Shana Brown, an intensive Cardiovascular nurse. When there is too much hormones cancer is likely to start to occur. Multiple cancers can occur from Obesity. The list is: Breast Cancer, Kidney Cancer, Gallbladder cancer, Womb Cancer, and many more. For a lower risk people should start to live a healthy life style. It is important to stay active. East nutritious foods. Eat foods that are lesser in calories.
